The AM 400 is our premium filtration and atmosphere control system for additive manufacturing processes. Designed to filter particles in an inert atmosphere, it is the ideal choice for direct metal laser sintering and selective laser melting polymer applications. The system is hermetically sealed to retain inert gas and remove oxygen, and operates in closed-loop mode.
- Low leakage
- High contrast display
- Removable, sealed filter housing
- Quick and easy case removal
- Remote diagnostics via USB

Ideal for: Metal powder layer fusing, directed energy deposition, binder jetting.
Features
-
Intelligent Operating System (iQ)
The Intelligent Operating System (iQ) provides readily available real-time data on the performance of your extraction system. It offers a number of performance enhancements, including improved extraction efficiency, individual filter status monitoring, and integrated design features designed to reduce total cost of ownership.
-
DeepPleat DUO pre-filter
The DeepPleat DUO pre-filter is designed to maximize filter life. It incorporates a high-capacity separation chamber within the filter, designed as a pre-separator, which helps extend the life of the pre-filter, which in turn protects against premature HEPA filter blockage.
-
HEPA filter
HEPA filters are designed to filter 99.995% of particles as small as 0.3 microns. Secondary filter to remove fine particles.
-
Reverse flow air technology
Reverse flow air technology reduces the speed and changes the direction of the air, causing larger particles to enter the filter outlet chamber. This reduces the ingress of particles into the filter media, significantly improving the filter's capture performance and extending the filter's life.
-
Automatic flow control
Automatic flow control allows the user to pre-set the correct airflow rates for a given application, helping to maintain airflow. This results in lower noise levels and helps protect the more expensive HEPA filters.
-
System OK signal (optional)
The system OK signal warns of an error when filters are blocked and when filters are approaching full capacity, allowing for efficient maintenance scheduling.
